LONDON

Here’s the short of how to navigate this list. Every coffee shop I’ve been to is here. Some appear more than once because they fall into more than one category. Whenever I am looking for a coffee shop, these are the areas I’m most interested in. If there’s something missing, let me know below!

Q: What are your top four favorite coffee shops in DC and why?

One // Attendant

I found the Attendant near the end of my time in London and if I would have found it sooner, it would have been my go to spot. They had great coffee and a cool, underground environment that was super conducive to work.

Two // Knockbox Coffee

I have an affinity for this spot because it was close to my school so I would stop there almost every morning for my mocha. I would always get mine with almond milk and it had a super odd taste that I really liked. I can still taste it now more than a year later! Other than that it’s just a cute little shop with super nice people in it.

Three // Freestate Coffee

Freestate was also by my school and was more of my afternoon spot. They have great food in addition to their coffee and there are always seats to do work which is a big plus!!

Four // Holborn Grind

I’m a sucker for a neon sign and this spot has a super cute one. The atmosphere of this spot in general is just really infectious and I simply liked being there for some reason. Definitely go and check it out! They also have other “grinds” in other parts of the city that you should try too!

Did I miss anything? What do you look for in a coffee shop?
